Dr. Alexandra “Alex” Kelly is a temporarily licensed psychologist, under the supervision of Dr. Hayley Meadows, who specializes in evidence-based therapies for adults with a variety of presenting concerns including OCD, anxiety, trauma, and psychological testing

Dr. Alexandra “Alex” Kelly is a temporarily licensed psychologist, under the supervision of Dr. Hayley Meadows, who specializes in evidence-based therapies for adults with a variety of presenting concerns. 

Dr. Kelly graduated with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kentucky and completed her APA-accredited clinical internship through the University of Kentucky Internship Consortium Program in 2023. Dr. Kelly’s internship included completing clinical training experiences at Women’s Health – Primary Care and Orofacial Pain outpatient medical clinics, the University of Kentucky Counseling Center, and Eastern State Hospital, an inpatient psychiatric facility. Her graduate research focused on studying different risk factors for alcohol use and risk awareness during intoxication. During graduate school, she co-led coping skills classes for children, participated as an individual therapist on the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Training Group treatment team, and served as a coordinator at the Jesse G. Harris Jr. Psychological Services Center, a community mental health center.

She has experience with the treatment of adults with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, anxiety disorders, adjustment concerns, mood disorders, and trauma-related disorders. Dr. Kelly is trained in evidence-based treatments including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Dr. Kelly also has experience in administering intelligence, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, personality, competency, neurocognitive and diagnostic clarification assessments in a wide variety of settings.

Living in Lexington with her husband and son, Dr. Kelly enjoys spending her time outdoors and cooking new recipes.
