She is extremely passionate about helping those she works with gain lives worth living and overcome any struggles they are having. She has experience working with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, OSFED, and ARFID, as well as other mental illnesses including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and borderline personality disorder. Lindsay utilizes the strengths already within each person, along with teaching additional skills, to help them achieve their goals. Lindsay received a certificate in Trauma Practice from her participation in Widener Universities Trauma Program while obtaining her degree and has gone on to obtain further training and specialization in CPT (cognitive processing therapy) which is an evidence-based practice for the treatment of PTSD.
Lindsay obtained a BA in Psychology at American University and her Masters in Social Work from Widener University. She has utilized these skills in program facilitation and development at all levels of care. Lindsay has worked at the inpatient, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient levels of care for both adolescents and adults with trauma and eating disorders. Lindsay’s belief in personal resiliency and her gentle approach is helpful to those working through emotional pain, fear, and shame.
Lindsay grew up in New York but is loving it here in Kentucky.
