Michelle Eckhart has a long history of excellent work in the field of dietetics and nutrition. Her work across a variety of settings and specialties has resulted in a deep knowledge base. She specializes in complex cases, where eating disorders or disordered eating presents with other comorbid conditions.
Michelle Eckhart has been a Registered Dietitian for over 30 years in the Louisville, Kentucky area. She has worked with patients in many settings across a variety of diseases and health issues. She specializes in complex cases of disordered eating in combination with other comorbid conditions.
Michelle graduated Magna cum Laude with a degree in Dietetics from the University of Kentucky and completed a dietetic internship at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Michelle was the Chief Clinical Dietitian at Jewish Hospital, Manager of the Jewish Diabetes Care Program, and the Manager of Employee Wellness for KentuckyOne Health.
Throughout her career, Michelle has been working with individuals of all ages with Eating Disorders. Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, and Binge Eating Disorder can be devastating, life altering diseases, which affect the body, the mind, the spirit, the family and interrupt every aspect of a person’s life. Each person struggling with eating needs an individualized approach to help them re-learn to nourish their bodies. The end goal with each client is to help normalize their relationship with food so they can go on to live healthy, happy lives.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys cooking, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
