Practicum Training for Psychology Graduate Students
Be Well Kentucky partners with Louisville Center for Eating Disorders to offer a yearlong clinical practicum experience for advanced psychology doctoral students. Doctoral students are trained in both eating disorder and OCD treatments. Doctoral students receive training throughout the year on evidence based approaches to treating eating disorders and OCD and related disorders. All trainees participate in weekly individual clinical supervision, weekly group supervision and attend treatment teams.
Training is tailored to trainee’s individual needs and to their University’s expectations. In general students can expect about 50% of their allotted time per week will be direct clinical hours providing individual therapy or co-leading groups. Doctoral trainees are relied upon members of the team and expected to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards.
